Design Brief #2: Blanket Attachments Part 2

This time I'm looking at creating a cooling gel pad, I dismantled the original one from China to see the material inside.

Inside was this silicon gel that is non toxic and its quite easy to cut and manage, just a little sticky.

This is the original one

 I cut the gel accordingly to the size measured for the pocket (top/chest area) I'm using it to cool down neck area while keeping the body warm. Keeping neck cool can help with better sleep.

I'm re-using the original fabric

 Adding ribbons at all corners for easy attachment to blanket later

 Using the binding method

Cooling gel pad is ready to be inserted for use.
