Creative Pursuits: Bespoke Mens Jacket completed

It's a crazy 6 months spent with Mr Wong, we had lessons with him every week on Wednesday and Friday nights but it's barely enough to complete our jackets - we even spent most of the time on hand-stitching outside of lessons as homework which added up to about 60 hours. Adding the 120 hours we spent in class, we took about 180 hours for our own jacket. Understanding from Mr Wong, a well crafted bespoke jacket takes 6 to 8 weeks for completion, even though I come from a fashion design background, I have developed even more respect and appreciation for traditional craftwork after learning more from him.

At the start, we wanted to create 2 jackets but now I'm just glad we managed to complete one, which was supposedly our toile.  Thankfully, we were only left with sewing buttonholes on the last day, even though we were hardly close to perfecting them.

I'm going to miss them, especially Mr Wong, the most patient and helpful tailoring teacher we could ask for. xx
