Light Experimentation - Part 6: 1st Resin Droplet and Touching Up

Following this post, our 1st resin droplet is cured and it looks pretty good for testing! Other than the fact that it looks like a molar or a little disease-looking.
I was asked to bring many alcohol wipes and/or 75% isopropyl alcohol for surface cleaning and polishing. This was the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak so it was realllllly difficult to find these alcohol products.
In the end, we settled to use soap water for the wet sanding and surface cleaning since alcohol wipes are definitely going to be insufficient.
Sanding and buffing took about 2 hours.

After the surface polishing, we did another round of surface coating with epoxy resin.
After 1 day, the coating is cured
We did the light testing and it looks pretty promising!
This means that this uneven surface droplet works and we can proceed to produce for the kinetic light setup.
